Meet the Collector Behind GNZCollect
Collector first, player second, investor third.
Collector first, player second, investor third
Welcome to GNZCollect. If you’ve landed here, you probably love cardboard as much as I do, so let me introduce myself.

My collecting story starts with my kids. We’ve been collecting Pokémon together since Sun & Moon: Team Up was new, and that hobby has grown with us. These days I’m still at prerelease events with my teenagers, which is a pretty great way to spend a Saturday. Along the way I picked up Magic: The Gathering and Disney Lorcana too, so the binders, boxes, and deck boxes keep multiplying.
If you asked me to rank my roles in this hobby, it would go like this:
- Collector. This is the heart of it. I love the art, the sets, the chase, and the story behind a collection.
- Player. I enjoy sitting down across the table and actually playing the games.
- Investor. I pay attention to the market, but it’s third on the list for a reason. The fun comes first.
That mix is exactly why I built this site. Once you collect across multiple games, track sealed product, and keep an eye on value, a spreadsheet stops cutting it. I wanted one place to keep track of the many sides of the hobby, so I made it myself. GNZCollect started as my own tool, and I’m happy to share it with anyone who collects the way I do.
Outside of cardboard, I’ve spent about 30 years in the technology sector, much of it in leadership and program management, helping organizations deploy technology successfully. It turns out that skill set is useful for organizing a collection, too. Good tracking, clear goals, and a plan for the next hunt make any collection better.
Thanks for stopping by. Pull up a chair, flip through the site, and tell me what you’re chasing.
